How to Find Us
There is no public transport serving Julatten so a vehicle is essential to get here and to visit the surrounding birding areas.
From Cairns
Allow 1½ hours. Follow the Captain Cook Highway north, passing the Port Douglas turnoff, before turning left 4 km south of Mossman onto the Rex Range road signposted Mt. Molloy and Mareeba. Continue for 19 km then turn right, just past Barramundi Gardens, signposted Mt. Kooyong Road and Kingfisher Park 100m.
From Cairns via Mareeba
1½ hours from Cairns, 45 mins from Mareeba. Turn onto the Kennedy Highway at Smithfield north of Cairns to Mareeba. From Mareeba drive north on the Peninsula Development Road passing Mt. Molloy and Rifle Creek before turning right (signposted Julatten 8km) onto the Mossman road for a further 10 km. Turn left after passing Geraghty Park, signposted Mt. Kooyong Road and Kingfisher Park 100m.
